The Recyclable Advert is here!!

For the third year in a row, we give you and ourselves; The Recyclable Advert. A recyclable campaign about the profits and importance of recycling electronics and batteries! A campaign that humorously wants to remind and show the absurdity of not taking advantage of all the valuable resources and materials that electrical waste and used batteries contain. It´s madness I tells you!

And there is in fact no good reason why we do not recycle exactly everything! That we don’t think and act in a completely circular way; which is the at the center of the campaign by The Recyclable Advert.

There is also no good reason not to participate in the campaign, to share the information with your consumers is a win win win! The kind we like which is why the campaign is free to use for all.

“Blah blah blah” / Greta

We all have a responsibility to act, to go from words, to action. If ever it was time to roll up our sleeves, to take action, to step up, it is now! If there has ever been a day that for us symbolizes just that responsibility, to be the change we are talking about, then it is of course the 14th of October and International E-Waste Day!

Once more unto the recycling station dear friends!

Right there, is “the rub”. The problem is still that too many used products do not actually end up where they need to end up, they are simply not recycled. This leads to a shortage of raw materials, which leads to increased extraction and with it, increased emissions. Yep, just the opposite of a sustainable and circular economy. And yes, just the opposite of what the IPCC says we have to do, hurry to reduce emissions. Whilst we feel like we know this, and repetition may be boring, it must never become boring. We know this, of course! And because we want to make the world a better and safer place for our children and grandchildren.

“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality. ” / John Lennon

Sure, I admit, it’s a slightly (!) Pompous quote, but in that context it’s still spot on. It is about the fact that we must all be helped, that no one can do everything, but that we can all together make a difference. It is the basis of the entire campaign, that we, all different levels in the electronics industry show that we take our joint responsibility and lead the way forwards.

Towards sustainability and beyond!

This year’s campaign, The Recyclable Advert, starts on October 4th and continues until October 24th. It is of course free to participate in and we hope that you want to help us create change, through your participation, sharing and dissemination of the campaign and its message!
