Our Secure Collect-containers offer a free service for consumers who want to recycle their old electronic gadgets that store sensitive or private data. With Secure Collect, you can rest assured that your old equipment will be handled securely and that all sensitive information will be properly deleted.
Here’s how it Works:
1. Collect your old Electronics: If you have old mobile phones, hard drives, laptops, tablets, USB drives, or other electronic devices containing private data, you can drop them off in a Secure Collect container.
2. Locked Container: The Secure Collect container is locked and can only be opened by the local recycling company.
3. Transport to the Recycling Company: When the container is full, it’s picked up by Recipo and transported to a specialized recycling facility.
4. Secure Destruction: Authorized personnel handle the container’s contents, ensuring secure handling. The products then undergo a software program that destroys all data, leaving the electronic devices completely wiped of information.
5. Recycling: The products go through a recycling process, and we ensure that as much material as possible is reused in new products.
